This recipe is like alfredo sauce loaded with garlic. Here’s what you will need to make the sauce:
- Roasted garlic
- Butter
- Cream
- Cheese
- Seasoning
- Flour or Cornstarch for thickening the sauce
- Salt and pepper
Variations to the Recipe
- Pasta – Traditionally you can use this sauce on any dish you want. It can be poured over grilled chicken or chicken steak, or it can be served with pasta. You can use any pasta shape you want. I recommend using classic fettuccine, or penne.
- Cheese – This recipe requires Parmesan cheese, but you can add a combination of Romano, Asiago, and some Parmesan to boost the flavor.
- Cream – The classical version of this recipe requires heavy cream. If you want fewer calories, you can use whole-fat milk with chicken broth.
- Seasoning – Use salt and pepper to keep things simple. However, I love more flavor to the pasta, so I like to add Italian seasoning and dried basil.
- Chicken – Another great addition to the recipe is grilled chicken. You can also add crispy fried bacon to it.
