Fluffy Pink Waffles Recipe
Thinking about having a special breakfast this Valentine’s Day, then you are going to love pink waffles. Pink velvet waffles are easy to make, festive, and super delicious with fluffy cakes that look heavenly.
I love trying out easy breakfast recipes that you can make at home with simple ingredients, and this recipe is no different. If you want to surprise your loved one with a Valentine’s Day breakfast in bed, this recipe is the best.
These waffles are fluffy on the inside with crisp edges and a buttery flavor. They are not only best for Valentine’s Day but also for Christmas because they look visually festive and appealing.

With a few tweaks and pink food coloring, you can make this holiday treat in no time. You can experiment with color. I made both pink and red waffles, as the color combination looked amazing.
You can even make pink pastel waffles by diluting the food coloring. And honestly, the possibilities are endless. It is one of the main reasons why I love this recipe, as you can customize it all you want.
How to Make Dye-Free Pink Waffles
If you wish to avoid using artificial dyes, you will need an alternative to make pink waffles. Most dyes used in food coloring are petroleum-based. If your kids are allergic, you can use beets to color the waffles.
One medium-sized roasted beet is enough to bring a good pink color to the waffles. Beets do have an earthy flavor, but I guarantee that you will not taste it in this recipe. Apart from the pink color, the taste of these waffles is the same as the regular ones.
Serving Ideas [Toppings]
As far as the toppings go, the sky is the limit. You can follow the pink and red theme to go with whipped cream with strawberries and strawberry syrup or you can add more flavor with something different.
Here are a few topping ideas that will go great with these pink waffles:
- Whipped cream with bananas and chocolate syrup
- Air-fried peaches with honey and whipped cream
- Vanilla ice cream with chopped nuts and chocolate syrup
- Chopped mix berries with frozen yogurt
- Peanut butter and jelly
- Bourbon maple syrup with chocolate ganache
- Cinnamon sugar with vanilla custard
