Garlic Spot Prawn Recipe
Prawns and most seafood pair well with buttery garlic sauce. Spot prawns are buttery and sweet in taste so complimenting them with Italian seasoning and garlic goes a long way in boosting the flavor. Follow this easy spot prawn recipe to make them at home.
If you have never cooked spot prawns before, it takes a different approach as compared to other prawns. Spot prawns take less time to cook, and in a hot pan, you only need to cook them for 20-30 seconds before they are done.
You can saute them in butter for 20-30 seconds before tossing them in BBQ sauce or any sauce of your liking. Just finish it off with lemon juice and white wine.
I recommend peeling the shells before cooking, but you can also cook with shells, and it can easily be peeled off once cooked.

What are Spot Prawns?
Spot prawns are wild prawns that are not farmed. They are pale pink in color when uncooked. After cooking they turn a beautiful pink-orange color.
Spot prawns don’t taste like classic prawns. Instead, they have a buttery, sweet flavor, like lobster. It’s like eating mini lobsters.
Cooking spot prawns are a bit different from other kinds because they don’t take much time to cook, but peeling them takes a different technique and time.
