Key Ingredients
The first thing that I noticed about this dessert is that it only requires a few basic ingredients that are readily available in everyone’s pantry. Here’s what you are going to need:
- Peaches: To start off, you need fresh peaches. I recommend using fresh ones, instead of going with canned peaches. Just use any type of peach available – white or yellow.
- Olive oil: It will make sure the peaches get caramelized without getting burnt.
Sugar Cinnamon Butter
In the center of the peaches goes a sweet cinnamon butter mixture that gives the fruit a warm and sticky flavor and texture. To make it, you are going to need:
- Butter: Salted butter works great in this recipe as the salt brings out the flavor of the peaches.
- Brown sugar: Adds a perfectly sweet touch to the peaches, helping in caramelization.
- Ground cinnamon: The spice brings out the natural flavor of the peaches.
* Make sure the butter is not melted and is at room temperature so it mixes well with the other ingredients.
